Sometimes it seems like homesickness, cultural adaptation, and the feeling of being pulled in two directions would be better if, like missionaries of the past, I had kissed my parents goodbye and set off on a big boat to never see my homeland again.  No complications.


But then I see my nieces on Skype, and I am grateful for modern conveniences.  The following are some of the faces I have enjoyed lately.  Enjoy the faces.  No one really knew I was photographing them. :)
